Tim Burton's artistic and gothic style is iconic in the movie industry, with legions of fans throughout the world. Born on August 25, 1958, in Burbank, California, Burton loved movies from an early age, shooting his first short films as a teen. He then studied film for a time at the California Institute of the Arts before working as an animator at Disney. When given the chance to move to live action full-length films, Burton took his visionary style into directing. In 1990, with the movie Beetlejuice, he solidified his iconic style, making waves in Hollywood. Since then, Burton has explored a multitude of live-action and animation forms, becoming a household name in Hollywood.
