About the Author(s)

Mark L. Steinberg, Ph.D., is professor of biochemistry at City College of New York, CUNY. With a Ph.D. in biology from the University of Pennsylvania, Steinberg has lectured widely on biotechnology and genetic engineering in the United States, Europe, and China, and has published many scientific papers, as well as a book on recombinant DNA technology.

The late Sharon D. Cosloy, Ph.D. , was professor of biology at City College of New York, CUNY, and was on the doctoral faculties of biology and biochemistry at the Graduate School and University Center of CUNY.
